Registration Policies

Please carefully review the registration / ticketing policies below for TEDxMonterey events:

General policies
Several policies apply to all TEDxMonterey events; these general policies are listed in this section.

Conditions for Registration / Ticketing
Before registration can be accepted, the following criteria must be met:

  • Availability: There must be availability of seats
  • Payment: Prompt payment must be made at the time of your registration

TEDxMonterey’s right to terminate registration
We reserve the right to terminate any registration at any stage prior to an event without explanation by notifying the individual concerned by email, and delivering a refund.

Corporations/organizations/families/groups
All tickets / registrations for TEDxMonterey events are made on the basis of one person-one registration. There are no multiple or group registrations.

For a corporation, organization or family, there is a limit of four (4) places. We cannot prevent you from registering more, but we ask you to be a good TEDx citizen.

Discounted Registrations
A limited number of seats are allocated at TEDxMonterey to be discounted or given away to people considered deserving of a place, but unable to afford to pay for registration. Decisions on allocation of those places is at the discretion of TEDxMonterey organizers.

Persons seeking allocation of a discounted registration should email to present their need.

Student & Youth Registrations
25 per cent of TEDxMonterey registrations are set aside for students (college and graduate level adults) and youth (17 – 13 years of age, accompanied by an adult). A maximum of 60 places will be allocated to students and youth.

No refunds
We cannot generally refund a TEDxMonterey registration less than 2-weeks (14 days) before the event.

If for some reason you cannot attend a TEDxMonterey conference, your best option is to transfer or carry over the registration. Such a request must be made in writing to no later than 2 weeks (14 days) prior to a TEDxMonterey event.

At the discretion of TEDxMonterey organizers, a refund may be issued in some circumstances.
